Amazon is the Only Place to Shop

After discovering Amazon a few years back, I will NEVER shop for anything other than groceries anywhere else again. That statement is filled with absolutes, but I meant every word.

No matter what your heart desires, it's on Amazon, and chances are it's listed at a much lower price than you'll find it anywhere else. Appliances, tools, video games, televisions, they're all on Amazon waiting to be bought by you.

Aside from the great aspect of selling on Amazon (which I've covered in another hub), visiting the site as a buyer is probably one of the greatest times of your life. Having compared prices of items on Amazon to that of other leading stores, I've found that I can buy as much as three times the amount of goods for the same price. This is especially true with video games and other electronics. I've seen hard drives selling for $200 at Best Buy while the exact same item was listed at $45 (new) on Amazon.

Exactly what is it that makes Amazon the number one place to shop? Why do millions of people boycott other stores in favor of it? Well, lets take a look at the ads placed throughout this very hub. Chances are that the list price is 25% extra or more than the amazon price! When you stop to look at the numbers, it's clear why Amazon is on top.

You aren't even seeing the lowest possible price, the "Amazon Price" is what Amazon itself sells the item for. If you click the ad and go to website, you'll see that there are users selling their own merchandise for even lower prices! I know what you may be thinking "Well, why buy from someone that I don't know? I might receive damaged or defective goods!". While this is certainly a valid concern for most websites, it's one that should be put out of your mind when dealing with Amazon, as it has systems in place to prevent this. Being a seller myself, I know the system better than most. When a buyer chooses an item, they then choose who to purchase it from. Rather than simply wandering blindly in the dark, you are shown a full range of information about the potential sellers. This includes their location, reputation (and number of reviews that led to this reputation), what types of shipping are available, and an individual description of their item. If your item were to have ANY sort of defects, the seller will have it listed here so you will always know exactly what you're buying even if you're buying used.

Buying used is further made safe by a system in which the seller details just how used the item may be. It ranges from "Like New" to "Poor", and anything below "Like New" generally is described fully so that you know why it is ranked as it is.

Many sellers could disregard this system and simply state that all of their items are in pristine condition, if not for the fact that Amazon reviews each and every seller. Any seller with an excess of late shipments, defective orders, and bad reviews will quickly lose their ability to sell on Amazon. This ensures that you will only be buying from quality sellers.
